As part of the new and continuing student enrollment process, families are asked to provide their child’s basic medical insurance information. This step helps the Chula Vista Elementary School District (CVESD) access state funding that supports wellness services available to all students.
The information collected supports the California Youth Behavioral Health Initiative (CYBHI), a statewide effort to provide school-based services focused on emotional and behavioral health. These services may include access to nurses, wellness resources, and other supports that help students thrive.
Providing this information is safe and confidential. It will not affect your child’s current healthcare coverage and does not result in any costs, co-payments, or fees. Students can access services regardless of whether they have insurance.
By completing this section during enrollment, families help CVESD continue offering important health and wellness resources that support every student.
