Classroom of the Future Foundation's Board of Directors has recognized CVESD’s Health Station
The Chula Vista Elementary School District (CVESD) is thrilled to announce that the Classroom of the Future Foundation's Board of Directors has recognized CVESD’s Health Station with an honorable Inspire Award mention at the 20th Annual Innovation in Education Awards on May 18 at Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.
In partnership with the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center, our Health Station experience gives fourth grade students the opportunity to explore their strengths and interests and align them with potential careers in the Health Sciences and beyond. Here, students participate in engaging, hands-on career exploration activities to help them to understand better their interests and how to lead a healthy lifestyle and achieve moderate-to-vigorous levels of physical activity. CVESD’s Health Station incorporates Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) into health sciences.
The Innovation in Education Awards is a prestigious event highlighting our community's educational innovation champions. Our Health Station is leading the way in preparing students for future careers in the health sciences field, and we are proud of all the hard work of our staff who have made this program possible for our fourth grade students.
