The Chula Vista Elementary School District is now accepting applications for three (3) vacancies on its Independent Citizens Oversight Committee: one (1) member who is active in a senior citizens’ organization; one (1) member who is active in the district’s Parent Teacher Association (PTA); and one (1) member of the community at large.

The application period for the Chula Vista Elementary School District’s Independent Citizens Oversight Committee is open from May 23 through Friday, July 11, 2025, no later than 4 p.m.

At the regular Board Meeting on August 13, 2025, the Board of Education will appoint at least two new members to the committee. These appointments will be based on the information provided in the applicants’ submissions.
