Transitional Kindergarten
The California Kindergarten Readiness Act established a Transitional Kindergarten (TK) program for children who miss the September 1 birth date cutoff to enroll in Kindergarten. TK is a pre-Kindergarten program designed to build a bridge between early learning and Kindergarten. This program provides time for younger students to engage in early academic learning experiences designed to promote success in Kindergarten and beyond.
We offer a full-day TK program at selected sites. Students in the program complete a full year in TK and then a full year in regular kindergarten before moving on to first grade. Registration for the current year is ongoing. Registration for the 2023-24 school year begins on February 15.
