The Chula Vista Elementary School District’s (CVESD) Board of Education adopted a resolution designating April as National Month of the Military Child. Each year, April marks the observance of the Month of the Military Child, officially recognizing and honoring the resilience and sacrifices made by military children on the Homefront. This tradition dates to its establishment in the mid-1980s, supported by the Pentagon and various military support organizations and agencies. Military bases worldwide offer events and celebrations during April as part of the Month of the Military Child.
At CVESD, our schools actively participate by organizing a range of military appreciation events. We are committed to providing comprehensive support to our military-connected students and their families. Our array of resources encompasses social and emotional assistance, academic support, and beyond, ensuring that every child feels valued and empowered within our district.
