SchoolCafé
Use SchoolCafé to manage your child's cafeteria account, make payments, view purchase history, receive low-balance alerts, and view school menus. For convenience, set up automatic payments to replenish their cafeteria funds. Learn what is being served in the school cafeteria and provide feedback by rating and sharing items. To help your child know if their favorite item is on the menu, you can choose favorite items, and SchoolCafé will send you a notification before school starts so that you can help remind them it's on the menu.
The district participates in the School Breakfast and National School Lunch Programs. Breakfast and lunch are served every day at each elementary school site.
Our students must connect what's on their trays and where their food comes from. That is why in 2012, we partnered with Food 4 Thought to bring the freshest seasonal produce to your school's cafeteria. Food 4 Thought is a company that brings quality produce into schools to help students eat healthily and, as a result, learn better. Through their 'Farm to School' program, they partner with small, family-owned California farms that share a commitment to student health and nutrition. We offer three to five different produce options in our Farm to School program. Please check your school site menu to see what fruit or vegetables we offer this month.
Child Nutrition Services follows the "Offer vs. Serve" program the United States Department of Agriculture stipulated. Each site allows the student to choose one of three entrees for lunch, either 1% white milk or non-fat unflavored or flavored milk, and as many fresh fruits and vegetables as they want.A student may choose from one of four entrees, fruit, and 1% and nonfat unflavored milk for breakfast.
